Our Optometrists

Dr. Merritt graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1995.  She attended Houston Eye Associates in 1994 where she worked alongside retinal, glaucoma and cataract specialists.  Dr. Merritt worked in Tillsonburg before returning to her home town of Smithville to start a practice in 1998. Dr. Merritt is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and has been an examiner for the Canadian Examiners in Optometry.  She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and Canadian Association of Optometrists.  Dr. Merritt has an interest in third world eye care where she has participated in eye projects with Medical Ministries International.  As a Doctor of Optometry, Dr. Merritt is committed to ongoing professional education to provide the best care possible for your eyes.

Dr. Kim received both her Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2010.  In 2009, she completed an ocular disease externship at the Barnet-Delaney-Perkins Eye Center is Arizona where she had the opportunity to work alongside cataract, glaucoma, and retinal specialists.  Dr. Kim is certified in therapeutic ocular medications.  She is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Association of Optometrists.     Dr. Kim is committed to providing comprehensive eye examinations coupled with thorough patient education.
